Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that Trinity Lutheran Church and King’s Kupboard Food Pantry in Hillsdale, Michigan, are situated on the traditional land of the Potawatomi, Kalkaskia, Peoria, and Meškwahki·aša·hina (Fox) peoples, who have stewarded this land throughout the generations. We honor and respect their enduring connection to this land and recognize the ongoing presence and resilience of Indigenous communities. We repent from racist and hateful behaviors of our ancestors and commit to fostering respectful relationships and to learning how we can support the faith, traditions, sovereignty and rights of Indigenous peoples in our community and beyond.
